The AI team at Degen is a small group of researchers and engineers obsessed with pushing the limits of generative models. We move fast, publish selectively, and ship constantly. Every model we build ends up in the hands of real users within weeks.

About the role

You'll own the science behind Degen's most creative features — fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RLHF, and beyond. You'll blend research depth with product instincts to make AI do things people didn't know they wanted.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune and align foundation models for Degen's creative use cases.
• Design evaluation frameworks to measure quality and safety.
• Rapidly prototype new AI features and bring them to production.
• Collaborate with Product and Design on what's possible.
• Publish findings where appropriate.

What we're looking for

• PhD or equivalent research experience in ML or AI.
• Track record of shipping AI-powered products.
• Strong intuition for user experience, not just model metrics.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.
